Each month, a clinical and non-clinical team member will be selected from nominations submitted through BJC Shines.
How to nominate a team member
Download this quick reference guide to navigate the nomination process on BJC Shines.
Also, please keep these general guidelines in mind for when to send a recognition through BJC Shines vs. when to nominate a team member for SLCH Employee of the Month through BJC Shines:
Recognize team members through BJC Shines:
In appreciation
- Describe a job well done, thanking a co-worker or team member for their work/contributions. Examples: Inclement weather situations; picking up an extra shift; leading a presentation; just being a great co-worker and/or making work fun.
Living Our BJC Values
- Part of BJC HealthCare’s culture is recognizing when we see our values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Safety and Teamwork in action.
- Highlight the action and how the team member lived Our BJC Values.
Nominate team members for SLCH Employee of the Month through BJC Shines:
- To recognize someone for consistent use of Our BJC Values and the impact it makes on our patients, families and your co-workers on a regular basis.
- Living Our BJC Values or going “above and beyond” in a specific situation that made a large impact on our patients, families and your co-workers.
