Why Are the Cheats Not Working?
We’ve covered many Emerald ROM hacks in which very few cheats work. In some cases, the cheats don’t work at all.
One explanation is that newer Emerald hacks are created differently using a method called Decomp rom hacking, which is why the old Emerald cheats aren’t working.
In fact, the cheats used here are given by some of the readers.
Item Modifier Cheats (All Game Shark)
The only Pokemon Classic cheats that are working are the item modifiers. All of them are Game Shark codes and you just need to change the YYY to the specific item code that you want.
All you need to do next is to buy the items from the Poke Mart. Some of the items are a bit expensive, but it makes sense, since they weren’t meant to be sold.
The Master Ball cheat is free, so you can get an unlimited amount of it. Unfortunately, the Rare Candy cheat won’t work for this game.
