Jack Gilinsky Apologizes After Disturbing, Verbally Abusive Tirade Against Madison Beer Leaks (2024)

Over the weekend, audio of Jack Gilinsky verbally abusing his ex-girlfriend Madison Beer leaked on Twitter.

In the disturbing audio clip, Jack can be heard repeatedly calling Madison a "little slu*t." When Madison asks Jack to go away, he continues to pester and degrade her.

"The things you're saying to your girlfriend are out of control," she says to Jack.

"You're not my girlfriend, Madison, so why are you saying that?" Jack responds.

"So why are you wasting your time? Just stop!" Madison pleads.

"Just think: When I turned on the music, what made you say 'hey yo this dude's got sh***y music'?" Jack continues later.

"I was joking," she says.

"OK, but what made you say that? Imagine if you never said that. What would be happening right now?" he replies, hinting at what may have sparked the blowup.

Since the audio clip was leaked on Twitter, users and fans of both stars have taken to Twitter to express their shock and worry over what they hear in the clip, with many fans asking how Madison could stay with Jack when he treated her that way.

Jack took to Twitter on Sunday to address the leaked audio, confirming it was him and Madison arguing on the recording - but that it was a year ago and he's changed since.

"There's no justifying the words that came out of my mouth in that audio file," he wrote in his apology. "In no way do I stand behind who I was in that part of my life. But people change and learn from their mistakes. The clip you've all heard is from last year. I was in a very dark place, and clearly had no control over my emotions. It's painful for me because most people think that this clip is current and is an accurate representation of where Madison and I stand today, when that is far from the truth. Like any couple, Mad and I have had our fair share of ups and downs, this clip specifically being one of our lowest points."

Jack goes on to share that Madison stuck with him and helped him change his ways, which he is grateful for. "Madison knew if she didn't help me overcome my ways and change, no one would, and I would never learn from my mistakes," he continued. "I'll never be able to thank her enough for believing in me the way she did during that time."

Madison also addressed the leak in a now deleted Twitter post. "Jack and I having to face this yet again has been so hard," Madison wrote in the tweet that was screenshotted by fans. "Many of you asking me, 'Why would you stay with him if it happened last year?' My theory was, and as horrible as this is, is that if I left him, he'd do it to the next girl. I tried to fix him."

The singer ended her message with some important relationship advice for her fans. "If someone is mistreating you in ANY way please speak up," she wrote. "It is NEVER okay and I was blinded by love and much too afraid to come out and say anything in fear I would be broken up with or not taken seriously by someone I told. SPEAK UP. Don't make the same mistakes I did, your safety is never worth it. No matter what, nobody deserves to be treated that way."

This leaked audio seems to shed light on the meaning behind Madison's new single released last month called "Dead" in which she sings about an ex who drinks too much, continuously messes with her mind, and does her wrong. "Baby, no more showing up when you're not sober / At my front door just to say you're alone tonight / Yeah, tryna f*** me and my mind up / It's a reminder you're a liar and you know I'm right," she sings in the song.
